About This Project
Dr. David Othman enlisted Apex Design Build to develop a sleek office space for his new dermatology practice in the bustling Lincoln Park neighborhood. Working also as a Program Director for Cook County Health, Dr. Othman needed help renovating an old building into a space that would allow him to treat his patients and manage his busy schedule.
The Challenge:
Fully renovate a dilapidated downtown building into a functional boutique space. Two design challenges were present during this project that included preserving the original classic charm of the interior exposed red brick and creating an ADA-accessible entrance within a high-traffic area.
The Solution:
Apex Design Build created an office space for Dr. Othman that incorporated functional design and minimalism. The office’s reception used sleek angles and sophisticated lighting to guide the eye from the entrance into the retail area. This design technique helped create a light and open flow throughout the space.
